Pastors Garage

*Pastor Mike’s Garage-Sept 7/2023*

So I just wanted to write this before it gets too late in the week. What is
on my mind is the various opportunities that were shared during our morning
service last Sunday, which I announced as a mission’s summit!

If you’re anything like me, in the heat of the moment, when the need and
opportunity is presented right in front of you, especially by a high energy
fella like Danny Delong, it’s easy to get excited about something! After
fifteen minutes of him sharing about what God is doing around the world,
and the different projects available, I was literally going home to pack my
bags! The trouble is, give me a couple days to get the wind and excitement
knocked out of me by rain, a breakdown, or maybe a despairing comment or
personal failure or two, and suddenly I’m not quite as enthusiastic! How
about you? Were there any seeds planted in your spirit on Sunday about the
possibility of taking part in a mission trip? How are you feeling today?

My mind goes to an all familiar parable that Jesus shared in Matt 13. *“Listen!
A farmer went out to plant some seeds. As he scattered them across his
field, some seeds fell on a footpath, and the birds came and ate them.
Other seeds fell on shallow soil with underlying rock. The seeds sprouted
quickly because the soil was shallow. But the plants soon wilted under the
hot sun, and since they didn’t have deep roots, they dried. Other seeds
fell among the thorns that grew up and choked out the tender plants. Still
other seeds fell on fertile soil, and they produced a crop that was thirty,
sixty, and even a hundred times as much as was planted.”* Later in the same
chapter Jesus goes on to describe what the different scenarios meant. The
point I want to make, however, is that it was the same seed, and soil in
every case! The difference in the yield was due to the conditions of the
soil and factors that affected the seed, all of which with some work and
preparation, could be made the same as the fertile soil that produced much!
The seeds were all thrown by the same sower out of the same bag! They were
all thrown in the same field! With some tillage the footpath wouldn’t have
been so hard! If the stones were picked the soil wouldn’t have been so
shallow! With a pre-burn of Roundup the thistles likely wouldn’t have been
a problem! So the question that needs to be asked is not what kind of seed
was planted or even what kind of soil it fell on, but rather, what kind of
conditions are we allowing in our lives to give the seed a chance to
flourish!

As a reminder, this is what was presented.

1.Trip to Mexico during Feb break, to encourage local pastors, help build a
training facility, and work with street kids. The cost is $2500, initial
deposit of $1000 is due this coming Monday. This Saturday the
missionaries(Saul and Amber Muchado) that we are going to work with will be
in Regina at the Ap for an information meeting at 9AM.

2.Trip to Turkey sometime next year with Danny Delong and Bruce Lungren to
take the Kairos Course literally in the locations where many of the things
in the Bible happened. Check out outreach.ca/kairos

3.Joining Gateway Church out of Prince George, BC(the church Greg and Carla
Paulson pastor) next summer in a project they do every summer in the
Okanagan BC in working with The Okanagan Gleaners in processing food to be
sent to the hungry throughout the world. Take a look at
www.okanagangleaners.com

4.Joining a team from Eston College in going to a student fair in Europe
next Sept to hand out bibles!

5.Along with those out of the Regina church, take training through
searchforjesus.net an arm of peacewithgod.net an arm of the Billy Graham
Evangelistic Association to become a call centre/chat room host for those
interested in hearing about Jesus. Then possibly in a year or two down the
road taking a group of us to visit and encourage those who we have
personally led to accept the Lord through this ministry in their own
country, ie maybe Egypt! Checkout the above mentioned websites!

If you have any questions about the above, or you would like to explore
something else as a church please reach out to me!

Are these the only opportunities we have? Nope. Are there no local
worthwhile causes that could use our help? Yup, for sure! But the reality
is it’s not a matter of the need just arising. It’s always been there! All
around us! Both near and far! The real question is what’s it gonna take to
get us excited, engaged, and involved? I guarantee you that if you go on
one of these trips you will come back a different person and it will also
affect how you operate here! Is that a bad thing? The reality is the first
thing that always comes to mind when contemplating going on something like
this are the reasons one possibly couldn’t or shouldn’t be involved. Could
I challenge you instead of thinking of all the reasons you possibly
couldn’t go, is to just ask the question “what could I do?” Allow God to
plant the seed, if it’s there, allow God to prepare the soil!

Would you consider joining us for our Sunday morning gathering? We’re
better together, and it’s just not the same when you’re not here! This
Sunday Waylon Kardash will be sharing what the Lord has laid on his heart,
and his wife Rachel will be leading the song service!

*Pastor Mike’s Garage-Sept 1/2023*

Hey there, I just wanted to send out a note on something, that I am very
excited about, coming up this Sunday in our morning service! Waylon Kardash
was initially scheduled to share, and it’s not that I wasn’t excited to
hear what he had to say, it’s just that an opportunity presented itself
over the last couple days that I couldn’t not go after! I asked Waylon if
it would be OK with him if we moved him to a later date, and he was
graciously good with that, so keep your ear to the ground for when he
shares as well in the weeks coming up!

So, what’s this golden opportunity you might ask? The whole area of
missions has been on my heart for awhile now as I give some leadership to
this body during this season. As far as I’m aware, the last official
“Missions Trip” we have done out of this church is over 30 years ago
already! I have heard stories about how we went to Mexico, and used to
volunteer quite often at Souls Harbour soup kitchen. And yet I have been a
part of this congregation for over 29 years and those were before my time.

I have had the opportunity to be involved with a couple short term missions
projects in my life. I co-led a Street Invaders team to Australia, and was
on a work team that helped build a school in a hurricane damaged area of
Haiti. Now I am fully aware about how inefficient short term missions are.
The reality is, in talking to various missionaries, and Pastor Dave about
his time in the Philippians, most of the time these teams are a lot more
work for those there, and in reality usually don’t really accomplish that
much. The reality is that the real impact is not usually on the ones we go
to minister too, but rather on the ones that go to minister! My time in
both Australia and Haiti changed me for the rest of my life! I literally
saw the world, and in some ways God, differently after those trips. What
one might accomplish in two weeks will likely not impact those areas you
are going too for that long after. But it can change those going for the
rest of their lives!

This past summer a desire to get us more personally focused on missions was
birthed in hearing Danny Delong speak. He shared at our church camp, and
Springside, about the amazing things God is doing around the world! Having
Ted and Donna Clibbon, long-time missionaries with NAIM on the first
nations just north of us, join us for four Sunday’s in a row only fuel-ed
the fire! To see their passion and drive at their age to continually come
all the way back here every summer was nothing short of inspiring!

With Leona’s funeral this week I knew that Jerry Schuetz, ACOP’s missions
director, would be in town. On Tuesday night I slipped over there to say
hi. Greg Paulson, Jerry, and I were having a bit of a visit when I asked
him if he had any thoughts about an opportunity for us as a church to
possibly start dreaming about a mission trip. His suggestion was to, rather
than reinvent the wheel, contact Danny Delong to see if Regina had anything
coming up and maybe our church could partner with them and a few of us join
them! I got in contact with Danny, and on Thursday morning we had a phone
chat. I don’t know if you know Danny at all, but he’s a tad passionate! He
has no less than three different projects in the works, and literally after
talking to him for twenty minutes I was ready to head home and pack my bags
and head to the mission field! Greg also mentioned that their church out of
Prince George does a project every summer in the Okanagan, and he wondered
if some families from here wouldn’t want to come out there next summer for
a week, as their vacation, and join them in what they are doing.

You might be still asking, OK Mike, so what’s happening this Sunday?!!!!
Well, one of the projects that seemed really interesting, to me at least,
that Danny is doing out of the Regina church in February has deadlines in a
couple weeks already. I realized that both Greg and Jerry are in town
alreadh and will be in church on Sunday. I realized that I would not be
able to pass on what Danny shared with me with a smidgen of the passion and
zeal that literally oozes out of him, so late last night I asked Danny what
he was up to on Sunday…..

And…And….Wait for it…..I am excited to announce this coming Sunday we
will be having a Missions Summit for our morning service!!! Trust me baby,
you don’t want to miss this! We will be having our ACOP missions director,
all the way from Calgary sharing about missions! We have a pastor all the
way from Prince George, BC sharing about another opportunity we could
partner with his church on! We have Danny coming to share all the way from
the sunny shores of Regina to share about some amazing opportunities as
well!

Now I know the idea of personally going on a mission trip excites some, but
totally freaks others out! If you think missions is only getting dropped
off in a sketchy part of town with a stack of pamphlets, it is so much more
than that! Can you swing a hammer? Can you paint? Can you cook? Can you
visit? Can you pray? Do you like to travel? Do you like experiencing other
cultures? Do you like the mountains? Do you have a desire to see God move
in someone’s life? Do you have a desire to see God move in your life?

Please, please, please make it a priority to come! Invite someone you think
might be interested! Maybe you have no interest, or desire at all, too
personally get involved. Just come and hear some stories of what God is
doing around the world! Could I dream for a relatively full church, even in
the midst of harvest, for something like this? Let’s grow together! It’s
just not the same without you here!

*Pastor Mike’s Garage-Aug 26/2023*

I want to take this opportunity to make a public apology to probably most
of you. On Thursday morning I woke up and felt strongly convicted by the
Lord about the amount of grumbling I have been doing lately.

So many times in this last season I have been asked how I am doing. Time
and time again, I took that opportunity to share that it has been a
struggle. Some of it is my own doing, but much due to circumstances and
people surrounding me. Every time I shared what was going on I felt a bit
sick in my spirit. Now hear me on this, I was sharing about the things that
were actually happening! It’s not like I was making stuff up, or unfairly
slandering people. But in my heart of hearts every time I knew I should
probably just keep my trap shut.

I have heard how it is possible for someone to drown right in front of a
group of people! Unless one recognizes the signs of a person in trouble, it
is easy to mistake them for just acting normally. I also have heard it said
to be careful when you do recognize that someone is drowning, because in
their panic they can grab on to you and take you down with them. To be
honest, that’s a bit like what this past season has felt like for me. It
felt like I was drowning right in front of everyone, and I kept reaching
out hoping someone would understand what I was going through and come and
save me. I also wonder if there are those around me who on some
subconscious, spiritual level kept their distance from me because they
recognized the possibility that I could take them down with me…

Now I have to acknowledge that during this time the Lord has sent many
people my way to walk along-side me and uphold and support me. It’s just
that even though I was being supported and being given good advice, I was
too busy grumbling about my circumstances and navel gazing to actually
start swimming in the troubled waters I found myself in, rather than flail
aimlessly.

Then came my waking thoughts Thursday morning. The evening before we had
gone out for supper with a couple friends from outside of the church and
they asked how things were going. I fired up the grumble train once again,
and left the station full steam ahead. This time however it haunted me all
night long. I was soul sick the next morning, knowing that God was saying
enough was enough with the grumbling. That morning my devotions led me to
Colossians chapter 3. As I read verses 12-15 they seemed to jump out of the
page at me. *“Since God chose you to be the holy people He loves, you must
clothe yourselves with tender-hearted mercy, kindness, humility,
gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other’s faults, and
forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must
forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all
together in perfect harmony. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule
in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace.
And always be thankful.”* The last line was the one that stood out the most
to me. It is kind of a stand alone command attached to a bunch of
instructions on getting along. Initially it seemed out of place, but the
more that I thought about it, the more I realized how important being
thankful is. It dawned on me, it’s pretty hard to be thankful when you’re
grumbling all the time. The vice versa is also true, it’s pretty hard to
start grumbling when we choose to focus on and be thankful for what God has
given us!

Yes, the waters surrounding were stormy. Yes, I might not be that good of a
swimmer. Yes, in many ways I was all alone. But where were my eyes fixed?
The next two verses in Col 3 share the key to looking beyond our
circumstances to the only one who can really help anyway. *“Let the message
about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each
other with all the wisdom He gives. Sing psalms and hymns, and spiritual
songs to God with **thankful hearts.** And whatever you do or say, do it as
a representative of the Lord Jesus, **giving thanks** through Him to God
the Father.”*

I want to publicly apologize to you as a pastor, friend, and christian for
all the grumbling. For not having an attitude of thanks. And because of
this, not being a very good representative of the Lord. I’m sorry!

Tomorrow we will be having another prayer summit as our Sunday service. It
will be a time of us gathering together as Christians, worshipping the
Lord, praising the Lord, thanking the Lord, seeking the Lord’s direction,
confessing before the Lord, and asking Him to move in various situations,
people and circumstances. Would you consider joining us as we seek Him
together? We were created for community, that is the whole purpose of
church gatherings. It’s just not the same when you’re not here!

Pastor Mikes Garage

Well it’s with a little bit of a heavy heart that I begin this pastor’s
garage. I always copy and paste the contact list from a previous email and
I usually go through it to make sure it’s going to those who want it and no
suspicious email addresses are in there. There was one address that I
chose to remove this week because it would no longer be getting to its
intended recipient.

I’m sure that you have heard that Leona Osiowy went home to be with her
Lord, Saviour and friend Jesus this week. She was a precious woman
who leaves a legacy of faithful service to our Heavenly Father. In this
last season I had the privilege of going to visit her a few times, and even
though she was going through so much, she never failed to challenge, bless
and encourage me. To hear her heart, and see the tears well up in her eyes
whenever the subject of sharing the gospel would come up will always be an
inspiration to me! Both her and her late husband Adam had a firm grip on
what was important in the few years we have on this earth and the legacy of
service to our High King that they have passed on to their children is also
very evident.

Later this afternoon I have the privilege of taking part in a baptism
service at Kenosee lake. A young woman from a town nearby who was recently
saved, and is passionately serving Jesus, asked me to baptize her in a
desire to be fully obedient in every area of her life to Jesus. While I
don’t know her, her husband and family really well, I am inspired by their
passion to publically proclaim and share what Jesus has done in their lives!

Tomorrow I will be sharing a message at church about the spiritual
harvest that is all around us and the need for workers to go out into the
field. Do you see a common theme in all of these things? It’s so easy to
get distracted, discouraged, or deterred from who we are called to be as
Christians in this world! Where are you finding life, fulfillment, meaning
and purpose these days? Or maybe you don’t feel like you have much life,
fulfillment, meaning and purpose these days. I believe that a portion of
scripture that I will be focusing on in the morning holds the key to all of
those things when Jesus said this of Himself in John 4. “My nourishment
comes from doing the will of God, who sent me, and from finishing His
work.”(John 4:34)

We will be having our morning service here at the church at 10:30. I’m
usually here from around nine on. Would you consider coming a bit early to
pray with me? Rachel Drinnan will be leading us in worship. Please make
it a priority to join us in worshipping and learning about our Lord and
Saviour. It’s not that you can’t worship and learn about Him on your own,
there’s just something special that happens when we do it in community!
It’s just not the same when you’re not here!

Pastor Mike

Pastor Mike’s Garage

A very short pastors garage just to let you know we will have a very
special guest sharing in church tomorrow.

If you were in church last Sunday maybe you had the opportunity to meet
Ted and Donna from Oregon. I was at the inlaws for our annual August long
Schmidt family get together, but Tatum messaged me after the service
telling me about this really cool couple I needed to get to know from
Oregon. They have been coming to our area for like a bazillion years
ministering to the First Nations in our area. I had the opportunity to
meet up with Ted for a coffee on Thursday and he really inspired me.
Here’s a couple in their late seventies who still come every summer as
their vacation to meet up with the many people they have met over the years
to encourage them in their walk with Jesus. I had asked if they would be
willing just to share a bit about their journey, and by the time we
finished our coffee a couple hours later I had him talked into taking the
service! Trust be, you have no better place to be!

I’ve been thinking about these verses in Hebrews 10 for a few days now. * “*Let
us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be
trusted to keep his promise. Let us think of ways to motivate one another
to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting
together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that
the day of his return is drawing near.” Hebrew 10:23-25 We’d love to see
you in church tomorrow, it’s not the same when you’re not there!

*Pastor Mike’s Garage Aug 5/2023*

So I came to the realization early this morning that I might not be as
young as I used to be.

We are at my in-laws for the weekend. It is one of two weekends every year
that the whole family tries to get together. Lately I seem to be constantly
running from one thing to another and it started to really worry me how
much quality time I was actually getting to spend with Ben. Many days I
leave the house before he’s up, run from one thing to another all day,
getting back after he’s already in bed. It has become clear that he is a
lot closer to his mother, which is alright and understandable, but I do
value our relationship and I want to be an involved father. Ben has had an
interest in sleeping out in a tent as of late, and last week BreAnn and he
slept out in our front yard for the night. It was with my concerns in mind,
and the thought that we were gonna be at nana and grandpa’s for the long
weekend with not a lot scheduled, that I offered to dig out my old tent for
us to sleep in it out in the yard, just the boy’s! Yesterday evening we
unpacked my old tent, surprisingly in good shape for not having been out of
its bag in at least twenty years! We laid out a foamy for Ben, and I blew
up my old air mattress, also not having been used in many years. The night
went fine. Early this morning as I lay there waiting for Ben to wake up the
thought literally went through my mind “You know, that wasn’t too bad, I’m
not that old, I could still camp out in a tent!” Those thoughts quickly
diminished when I tried to get up. Somewhere in the night my air mattress
had significantly deflated and I was sleeping on the ground. Man was I
sore! There is a reason fifty-somes generally don’t do a lot of sleeping on
the ground! Funny thing is though, he was so proud to be out there with me
that I don’t regret it even a little bit! Man, I love that boy. I’ve
already offered to sleep out there again tonight should he wish.

The other night I was talking with a group of Christian guys and one of
them was sharing that while his son was living a very risky lifestyle, he
felt that God is doing whatever it takes to get a hold of him. We talked
about that for a bit, how God is a good caring Father who will chase after
us, wanting a good relationship with each one of us. The thought dawned on
me though, that while God does do whatever it takes to get a hold of us, so
does the enemy! He is also fighting for us! This is the battle that we are
in! What sways the balance and makes the difference is who’s call will we
respond to? Several verses along this theme come to mind. “And I am sure of
this, that *he who began a good work in you* will bring it to completion at
the day of Jesus Christ.” Philippians 1:6 God is taking an active role in
your christian growth and walk! “Be alert and of sober mind. *Your enemy
the devil* prowls around *like a roaring lion* looking for someone to
devour.” I Peter 5:8 Unfortunately the enemy also wants to take an active
role in our lives! He is also pursuing us with very different motives. John
10:10 says “The thief comes but to steal kill and destroy, but I have come
that you might have life and life more abundantly!” Which fathers voice
will you heed, the father of lies, or the Father of lights?

I am in no way a model father, but I love my son and care deeply about our
relationship! It humbles me that my heavenly Father also yearns for a deep
relationship with me! He is calling to you, He is fighting for you!

Tomorrow, while I will be away, we are still having church. Would you
consider making it a priority to come to deepen your relationship with your
heavenly Father? It’s not the only way, but it is a good way! I believe
everyone needs Christian community in their lives. It’s good for you, but
it’s also good for us when you’re there! It’s just not the same with you
missing! Tomorrow we have a guest speaker named Bill Bridal, a retired
pastor who lives in Broadview. I had the opportunity to have a coffee with
him last week, I think you’re in for a treat! Rachel Kardash is leading
worship, service starts at 10:30.

Pastor Mike

Pastors Garage

Good evening folks!

I’m sending out this Pastors Garage a bit earlier this week as we’re heading out to family camp at Springside first thing in the morning. I just thought I would give you a bit of a heads up for what’s happening at church for the next month. This Sunday our beloved Daniel Cole will be returning to his roots and sharing with us the message has been laid upon his heart. I will be back in time to lead the worship for that morning.

The following Sunday, July 16th, a team will be coming from Teen Challenge to share with us the power of God to overcome addiction. Please take this opportunity to invite those the Lord lays on your heart within our community. Following the service we will be having a BBQ in the parking lot, please bring a salad or dessert.

On Sunday July 23 we are going have a bit of a different style of service, we are having a prayer summit! We will be breaking into smaller groups and just praying that we would get to know Gods heart better, for our church, for each other, for our town, for our world. I know that for some this style of service can be pretty intimidating or uncomfortable, yet for others it is very life giving. I just can’t see the harm in spending a whole morning praying every once in a while!

The final Sunday in July, the 30th, our very own Karen Fairhead will be bringing the message for our church that God has laid on her heart. Please join us for that! I will be in Stoughton that Sunday speaking as they are still without a pastor and looking for pulpit relief.

It seems like there are so many right now that are struggling with health concerns, please keep them in constant prayer as the Lord brings them to mind! Please pray for the many camps that are going on right now, that God would move mightily in and through them.

Pastor Mike

Thanks and Blessings!

Good morning everyone. Just wanted to offer a final thanks and give you all
an update on our move. We have landed in Ontario and are just starting to
get settled in. It was quite a drive! We didn’t have any troubles or
hiccups and we thank you for your prayers for safe travels and protection.
It was honestly an incredible experience, we live in a wild and vast
country – I would highly recommend you make the trip at some point.

Liz and I just wanted to convey our thanks and appreciation to you all for
your love and support over the years and for the love gifts you all share
with us at our farewell. We were completely blown away! Thank you. You are
truly an amazing church. We will miss you all dearly. Please continue to be
an amazing church. Serve Christ and give Him your life. THANK YOU!

Today I am in my new office getting things figured out here and preparing
for my first sermon this coming Sunday. It’s kind of a weird feeling, but
we feel a sense of peace and know that this is where God was leading us. We
are still searching for a home to purchase, but we are happy with our
rental for now. We already have family from Pensylvannia coming to visit
next week… which we are so excited and happy for!

Please feel free to contact us or to reach out and by all means come and
visit! You will always be a part of our family.

God bless,

David and Liz

Pastor’s Garage-June 29/2023

I feel like I need to make an apology with this pastor’s garage.

About a month ago a member of our congregation came into my office with a thought about trying to have a couple outdoor community services this summer. Her desire was to get out of our safe bubble and make ourselves more visible to the community we reside in, The reality is that for many people not immersed or familiar with church culture, walking through those doors might seem pretty intimidating. I agreed and was excited about the idea. After all, the great commission calls us to “go out into the world”, not “wait in a safe comfortable place until they come to you!” As I pondered the idea, I thought it would be good to include the other churches in town and do it truly as a community service. Looking at dates July 2nd seemed like a natural fit as it was the Canada day weekend, there might be people in town for the festivities already, and there was nothing previously planned for the Sunday morning anyway.

My first setback was when I reached out to our ministerial. No other churches were interested in being a part of such a event. I was a bit disappointed but decided to push ahead with just our church doing an outdoor service. It’s not that I thought it would be any kind of magical pill that had all the answers, but we haven’t done anything specifically like this for some time, if ever. I thought what have we got to lose? What if there was even one person that came that wouldn’t otherwise? It was while I was sitting in my office on the Tuesday morning following the camping weekend, and was starting to do some serious thinking what that service would look like, that I started to feel very overwhelmed and all alone. I reached out to several people about their thoughts and opinions, and while there were two who were excited and willing to be a part of such an event, all of the others that I reached out too, were either not excited about doing it or wouldn’t be there. My heart sank, and I just couldn’t bring myself to push ahead, so I pulled the plug. In doing so, I also wounded the two that were excited about doing it, it really felt like a lose, lose situation.

Now you’re going to have to trust me on this, I’m not sharing all of this to lay a guilt trip on those that didn’t just jump up and down at the golden opportunity of joining some half-baked scheme that Mike Zorn cooked up. Shortly after officially starting this role as the interim leader for our church, I felt strongly impressed by the Lord during a ACOP district “grow day” in Saskatoon to find a mentor for this stretch of the road. Yesterday morning I had an opportunity to have a video call with that person and was sharing my heart about this whole situation. While he didn’t say anything that I didn’t already know, he shared some things that I definitely needed to be reminded about. Any time we try and step out and do something for the Lord, we will receive push back. The enemy just isn’t that interested in Jesus being proclaimed or us growing in any way! There will be feelings of discouragement or opportunities for distraction. He encouraged me that I needed to spend more time seeking Gods will in this, rather than looking for human support or affirmation. But then he went on to tell me not to beat myself up on this either. What the world needs more than any event, program, or idea; is those that are in love with Jesus. We need to be in this together, it was never about me anyway. In as much as this event wasn’t likely to be the magical breakthrough, the opposite is also true. All is not lost just because we didn’t do this one thing.

So, I would like to apologize for allowing myself to easily become discouraged, and probably prematurely cancelling such an event. I apologize for spending more time seeking the support and affirmation of man rather than seeking to get to know and love my Heavenly Father more. That doesn’t necessarily mean that we should have done the event anyway, it just means that His wasn’t the voice I was focusing on! Galatians 6:9-10 says “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone-especially to those in the family of faith.”

This Sunday I will be sharing on a verse I read in my devotions a couple days ago that has been haunting me a bit. “Dear children, keep away from anything that might take God’s place in your hearts.” 1 John 5:21 Please join us for our church service at 10:30 at the church, Rachel Kardash will be leading worship. Please keep Brad and Cryssi Sens in your prayers as they face some dark roads ahead in Brads health journey. Above all else, don’t give up the good fight!

Pastor Mike

Pastors Garage

Well, they are on the road! I captured a picture of our beloved pastor Dave just before they left early yesterday morning!

Please keep the Wicks family in your prayers as they have a very long drive ahead of them in a very large vehicle down some winding narrow roads! I’m gonna miss them! Please keep your church in your prayers as we walk through this season of transition..

This weekend is our camping weekend. We would still absolutely love to love to have you come even if you haven’t indicated so already! Here are a couple maps to where we are headed

Services will be around 7 every evening and 10:30 Sunday morning. Just a reminder there will be no service here at the church in Grenfell this Sunday, come join us there! Afterwards will be our church picnic. If you’re coming and staying in a cabin, please bring your own bedding.

Pastor Mike.
