ADVENT

And an angel of the Lord suddenly stood before [the shepherds], and the glory of the Lord shone around them; and they were terribly frightened. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” And suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased.” Luke 2:9-14

**Today is the deadline for having your gifts and food for the Christmas hampers to the church. Please label your gifts with the family initial, “girl/boy” and age. Thank you to all who have given generously to those in need.

Thurs. 2:00 p.m. There will be no ladies’ Bible Study over the Christmas holidays. It will resume Jan. 9.

Dec. 19 7:00 p.m. Family Hometown Christmas Dessert Night – The children will be presenting a skit and songs. Free will offering will go to Parenting Plus.

Dec. 24 7:00 p.m. Christmas Eve service

Church Membership

If you consider yourself a part of this body and want to be involved in a deeper way, please consider becoming an official member. It’s a more formal commitment and it means you can have a voice and vote at our regular annual meeting in February. If you are interested, please let the pastor know. Also, if you are a member, please ensure your name is included and spelled correctly on the list posted on the bulletin board.

The new Daily Bread devotional booklets have arrived and are in the rack in the foyer. .
