The Pastor’s Garage

Pastor Lindsay and I try to spend a good portion of one day a month praying for our church and for Grenfell. Today we drove to the Regina Apostolic church and spent some time in their prayer room seeking God and His wisdom and praying for the church. It was a really refreshing time. We asked a couple of the pastors from there to come and pray with us and both of them felt God was saying that right now our church is in a season of "digging deeper" and encouraged us to lead the church into a greater experience of the presence of God. Boy, that’s my heart for us for sure. I am so excited to see God work this out and believe that as we move forward in prayer, that this is what is going to happen. So as we pray on all levels, lets press into God and dig deep.

This Sunday I will be sharing more about prayer cells and we’ll also be opening up a time of worship and seeking God at the end of the service. We’ll also have a few people assigned as a prayer team to minister to those who might like prayer. I would encourage you to consider again the questions I introduced last week and allow them to fuel a hunger for God. Maybe this Sunday will be a time of spiritual renewal for you or a new beginning with God? Here’s the questions:

  • Do you sense God’s presence?
  • Do you sense God’s peace?
  • Is there a growing sense of desire for God and his Word?
  • Do you have a growing sense of disgust with sin?
  • Are you experiencing the sweet presence of Christ?
  • Is your spiritual longing being satisfied?

Rachel Drinnan and her team will be leading worship this Sunday as well as leading a time of extended worship at the end of the service. Please uphold her and her team in prayer as well as me as I share this Sunday. I am also excited and privileged to be leading a baby dedication this Sunday.

A few more things on the radar is a week of fasting and prayer starting on the 4th which we will end on the 10th at our regular Second Saturday prayer night. I am anticipating that being a rich week for our church. Our church is also holding the Annual Meeting on the 18th after our potluck and I have a goal that we fill that prayer table before then so we can celebrate. We’ve done pretty good so far, but we have a long way to go. Let’s make it happen. This Saturday Pastor Lindsay is hosting a family pond skating event from 1-3. All are welcome! If you need directions, please contact me or Pastor Lindsay.

Just a reminder about Rightnow Media and all the resources available to you. Just today I was looking into the parenting section and will likely be watching some of these videos to get some tips, because at times I sure feel like I need something! (https://www.rightnowmedia.org/Library/6)

Anyway, be blessed. I appreciate each of you very much and appreciate you connections, comments and feedback. Have a great weekend.
