The Pastor’s Garage January 11th, 2018

In case you didn’t notice, it’s cold again, but the days are getting longer so it should get warmer… soon.

I am attaching a letter sent to me by Larry Tittle thanking our church for being involved in the food hampers again this year. Please have a read. It really does make an impact getting involved in this way.

This Saturday night at 7:00pm is our monthly prayer meeting called Second Saturday. This month we are going to focus our prayers on the seniors in our church and our community. Please come prepared to pray for them.

This Sunday Rachel Drinnan and her team are leading. Please pray for them and hold them up in prayer. I will be speaking on Baptism again. If there are people who are interested in baptism we will hold a service in the next few months. I am also attaching a little sheet on baptism. It’s half quiz, half information that should get people thinking about baptism. If you or someone in your family is at all interested in being baptised, have a look at this or talk through this with them.

As needs arise in the church or in the community I’d like to try and make you aware of ways you can get involved in our church and in our community. Right now there are a couple of really important ways you can get involved in the church. The first is in visiting those who physically can’t make it to a Sunday service. In the past Betty Ann and Ken Armbruster coordinated this and made sure people were getting visits. If this kind of thing interests you I’d love to talk to you.

Another area where we have a need is in church hospitality. We need a few people to take care of the kitchen and coffee supplies and help to coordinate potluck setups as well as a few other things to with the kitchen and food. This is a really important job and I would love to chat with you if you are interested.

That is all for this week folks. Have a great weekend.

God bless,

Pastor Dave
