The Pastor’s Garage September 8th, 2022

Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. Praise
the Lord. Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. Praise the
Lord. Praise the Lord.

That was 10. I’d like you to close your eyes and say “Praise the Lord”
again 10 times. Say it slowly. Mean it. What do you notice? I don’t know
about you but I notice a sense of peace come over me and a sense that I’m
not the center of attention and that I don’t need to worry so much about
everything.

Revelation 4:11 says:

You are worthy, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things,
and by your will they were created
and have their being.

I would encourage you today to simply praise God, especially if you have
some things that are worrying you or frustrating you! A couple of important
dates:

*Sunday September 18th is our first potluck of the season*. Please bring
lots and invite a friend or neighbor. I’ll be sharing a family/kid oriented
message. Rumor has it that I might have a costume or something 🙂

Also, on *Sunday September 25th I’ll be sharing a “Vision for 2022/23.”* I
will be sharing with you some themes and ideas that God has put on my heart
for this season. Please be in prayer for me and for this Sunday.

Over the summer it is normal for giving to drop off as people head off on
holidays and are busy doing summer things, but this summer was a bit slower
than others. However, church expenses continue and as we go into this fall,
we want to start things with confidence. Would you please prayerfully
consider where you are at with your giving. If there is anything you are
curious about regarding finances please reach out.

Finally, this Sunday Pastor Mike is speaking and Rachel Drinnan will be
leading worship. Liz and I will be at Jacob Bear church this Sunday. Please
be in prayer for both of these services.

God bless,

Pastor Dave
