The Pastor’s Garage June 6th, 2019

Hi everyone, I hope and trust that you had a good weekend. We had a
wonderful weekend out at the lake for those able to make it. I’d say it was
our best one yet. The sense of community that we are developing here is
wonderful. If you were not able to make it, I hope that it will work out
for you to come next year. Here’s a shot of our Saturday night campfire
sing-song led by Barry and Kathy Switzer. The baptisms were awesome. So
cool to do them in a lake.

A couple of things to put on your radar. On June 15th a number of men will
be meeting here at the church at 8:00am to head out to Springside Camp for
a workbee day. We will provide lunch. It will be a fun day of working
together! Come on out.

On June 23 we will have our regular service at 10:30. However, it will be a
very short service followed by a prayer walk through town and neighborhood
clean up. There will be an army of us praying and carrying garbage bags.
Following that we will serve burgers and drinks back at the church at noon.
We hope that this will be a blessing to our community but also a great
opportunity to invite a friend or neighbor. “Hey come and help us clean up
the town, we’ll serve burgers at noon.” We just want to be a blessing. If
you are not able to walk through town you can help prep for lunch and/or
join a group we’ll have set up in the Oakshela room praying for our
community. We’ll have a fun announcement about it this Sunday.

Please pray for the service this weekend. For the worship team and for me
as I prepare to speak this Sunday.

God bless,

Have a great weekend.
