The Pastor’s Garage November 13th, 2020

Well, I am writing this about an hour and a half before we hear about the
new restrictions that are meant to curb the increase in coronavirus. I
honestly don’t know what to expect nor do I know what is best. According to
many doctors, something needs to be done. However, before that news is
released I’d like you to consider Habakkuk 1:1-5 (or read more if you have
timed) and consider how it might speak to the situation we are facing:

1 The prophecy that Habakkuk the prophet received.
Habakkuk’s Complaint
2 How long, Lord, must I call for help,
but you do not listen?
Or cry out to you, “Violence!”
but you do not save?
3 Why do you make me look at injustice?
Why do you tolerate wrongdoing?
Destruction and violence are before me;
there is strife, and conflict abounds.
4 Therefore the law is paralyzed,
and justice never prevails.
The wicked hem in the righteous,
so that justice is perverted.

The Lord’s Answer
5 “Look at the nations and watch—
and be utterly amazed.
For I am going to do something in your days
that you would not believe,
even if you were told.

We may only see chaos. But God is in control and is still on the throne. He
has not abdicated!

Please watch this video, he explains this in a way that is far more
inspiring than me!

Blessings,

Pastor Dave
